Valet Waste Pro was founded by Jason Ackerman — an industry veteran who spent years building and operating multifamily waste programs before launching his own company.
From the Ground Up
Jason Ackerman entered the waste industry in 2013, joining Pink-Trash in Wilmington, NC in a commercial sales and operations role. It was there that he identified a significant gap in how multifamily apartment communities were being served — or more accurately, underserved — when it came to waste management.
He took on the challenge of building the multifamily valet waste division from scratch. Starting with a handful of properties, he developed the operational systems, service standards, and client relationships that would eventually scale the division into a core part of the business.
That experience — building something from nothing, understanding what property managers actually need, and knowing what it takes to run a reliable waste operation — is what led Jason to launch Valet Waste Pro. The goal was simple: bring that same expertise and operational discipline to Wilmington's property management community, but with the personal attention and flexibility that only an owner-operator can provide.
